Steve Taylor

Stephen Taylor is the Chief Delivery and Impact Officer at Simprints. Steve joined Simprints from World Vision where he was the Head of Office for Syria and Turkey. Steve has experience with other NGOs including as Country Director with Action Against Hunger in Pakistan and as Syria Response Director with Oxfam. He has worked in a number of countries, such as, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Nigeria, Bangladesh, Uganda, Mozambique, and Mali. He has supported CVA, health, WASH, protection, education, and economic empowerment projects. Steve holds an Executive MBA from the Cambridge Judge Business School and is passionate about tech for good innovations in the international development sector.
Steve has experienced directly how real time, verified, and quality data is essential for delivering
truly accountable humanitarian programmes. He is committed to fostering deep partnerships to support responsible digital ID solutions to better enable dignified, efficient, and responsive service provision. He hopes to contribute to resolving fundamental issues affecting how people can be identified when 850 million people don’t have a formal ID, with the associated challenges of case management and continuity of care on the frontlines of health and humanitarian programmes, and with interoperability issues causing friction at the point of service delivery for people living in the most fragile contexts in need of life saving assistance.
