Julie Lawson McDowall

Julie has over 25 years’ experience in social protection, emergency cash transfers, gender, graduation programming and livelihoods in sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia. She has worked on policy, programming and research with a range of bilaterals, multinationals, NGOs, national governments and academic institutions. Julie has a BA in History and Philosophy, an MA in African History from SOAS, an MPhil in Development Studies from IDS and a PhD in Gender and Development from the University of Bath.
