Webinar: Cash Coordination and locally-led response (HNPW Session)
This event brought together national and global stakeholders to discuss:
- How localization and locally led responses are included in the new cash coordination model (endorsed by the IASC in March 2022)
- About the current locally led and coordinated cash initiatives.
- The challenges and opportunities that exist in relation to locally led cash coordination.
This session is part of the Humanitarian Networks and Partnerships Week (HNPW) annual humanitarian conference, and it is organized by the Cash and locally led response Working Group, co-lead by the CALP Network, Women’s Right to Education Programme (WREP), Global Mentoring Initiatives (GMI) and Christian Aid.
It’s a great moment to discuss locally led cash coordination:
In 2020, the State of the World Cash report recommended developing more meaningful participation and visibility of local actors in CVA discussions and coordination as a priority action. In 2022 the long-awaited new model for cash coordination takes us a significant step closer to achieving this.
