Advocating for Cash and Voucher Assistance with Governments

The panel was chaired by David Peppiatt, Director of Humanitarian Cash Assistance, British Red Cross.
The panelists highlighted the centrality of advocacy and engagement with governments in the Movement’s use of CVA in humanitarian response, share experiences and lessons learned from Bangladesh and Türkiye, reflected on the opportunities and risks of close collaboration with governments, and discussed linkages between humanitarian CVA and national social protection systems from an advocacy perspective.
