Impact Evaluation of Humanitarian Cash Transfers – Recent evidence from Colombia

18 May 2023

Bogota, Colombia. Virtual event.

The Cash for Urban Assistance (CUA) Consortium, led by Action Against Hunger in association with the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) and the Danish Refugee Council (DRC), is pleased to invite you to the virtual international launch of the impact evaluation results of the ADN DIGNIDAD program. The evaluation was undertaken by the International Initiative for Impact Evaluation (3ie).

AND Dignidad is a humanitarian assistance program that in its first 3 years of operation benefited more than 256 thousand Venezuelan migrants and refugees, Colombian returnees, and host communities in Colombia through Humanitarian Cash Transfers (HCT) and complementary services.

The impact evaluation aimed at identifying the attributable effects of humanitarian aid (cash transfers) on the migrant population in Colombia, in variables such as: food insecurity, financial security, household overcrowding, willingness to migrate, among others. The results of this evaluation are useful for humanitarian organizations, the international cooperation community, the national government and local and regional governments in Colombia, to define humanitarian responses for the migrant population, based on an econometric impact study.
