UNHCR Cash Assistance and COVID-19: Main Findings from Post-Distribution Monitoring

UNHCR is pleased to share the report UNHCR Cash Assistance and COVID – 19: Main Findings from Post-Distribution Monitoring (PDM), which provides a summary and analysis of UNHCR’s monitoring data from 13 countries during the pandemic along with detailed examples from country operations including on joint monitoring with partners. It presents results ranging from the use of the cash assistance, changes in expenditures and whether markets were functioning – to cash recipients’ access to basic needs and resorting to negative coping mechanisms. It also summarizes UNHCR’s cash assistance during the pandemic up until now that is complementing the government response.
