Joint Emergency Cash Transfer for Dominicans Most Affected by Hurricane Maria Stocktaking Exercise Report

2018 — By World Food Programme and UNICEF

A workshop was organized in Roseau, Dominica on 3-4 May 2018, to bring together all the stakeholders involved at different levels and stages in the joint Emergency Cash Transfer programme that was implemented from December 2017 to March 2018 as part of the emergency response to Hurricane Maria.

The report takes stock of key achievements and challenges, identify best practices and lessons learned and therefore inform future emergency preparedness and response initiatives.

Approximately 40 stakeholders participated in the workshop, including representatives from national Ministries, local government, UN agencies, NGOs, Red Cross and government representatives from British Virgin Islands.
