Discussion Paper: Strengthening Resilience through Integrating Humanitarian CVA and Social Protection Systems in the MENA Region

19 September 2024 — By Dedicated Task Force of the MENA Community of Practice on Linking Humanitarian CVA with Social Protection

The Discussion Paper on Linking Humanitarian CVA with Social Protection in the MENA Region is the result of a collaborative effort of the dedicated Task Force created back in April 2024 among volunteer members of the CALP MENA Community of Practice (CoP) on Linking Humanitarian CVA with Social Protection. The Task Force was created with the aim to draft a paper based on the findings of the study launched by the CoP in 2023 and named “Feasibility of Achieving Resilience by Linking Vulnerable Populations Receiving Humanitarian CVA to Development and Social Protection”. The new discussion paper, following the structure of the study, summarizes concrete actions and practical recommendations for integration at different levels i.e. political, technical and operational.
