Martin is responsible for overseeing the implementation of the CALP Network’s global capacity building strategy, targeting institutions and individuals to achieve excellence in cash and voucher assistance. He is from the United States and holds a Master’s degree in international education, and has lived and worked in more than 15 countries, most notably across Africa. He brings nearly 20 years of experience in international development and education program management, as well as in social protection. He has expertise in training program design, workshop facilitation and organizational strengthening, and worked as the Training Advisor for 3 years on a large-scale cash transfer programme in Uganda, which introduced him to the myriad opportunities of CVA.
