Lucia Steinberg

Lucia Steinberg has worked in the humanitarian sector since 2009, with a specific focus on Cash and Voucher Assistance (CVA) since 2015. She has worked across a diversity of settings, primarily in mass displacement, refugee contexts and with people on the move, with assignments mostly in the Middle East, the Americas and Europe. Throughout the years, Lucia has held roles with different actors (INGOs, UN, Red Cross Red Crescent Movement) at national, regional, and global level, predominantly in emergency and post-crisis responses. Lucia has accumulated extensive experience implementing MPCA, as well as sector-specific (especially Protection) and multisectoral CVA programming. Over her career, she has acquired robust technical and programmatic expertise, in addition to comprehensive coordination and strategizing skills.

Further to being Danish Refugee Council’s Global CVA Specialist, Lucia is a CALP certified trainer in English, Spanish and French and is also a member of the Collaborative Cash Delivery (CCD) Network’s TAG at global level.
