Loreto Palmaera is an Agronomist and Educator, holding a bachelor’s degree in agriculture major in Agricultural Education (Magna cum Laude). He is currently working as Programme CBI Officer of UNHCR in the Division of Resilience and Solutions – Global Cash Operations. He has over 20 years of experience in the field of Programme Management, Cash-Based Interventions, Food Security and Livelihoods and has personally managed over 1 billion USD cash assistance in various countries and contexts. He has previously worked in the Philippines, Indonesia, Sudan, Yemen, Pakistan, Somalia, Afghanistan, Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq, Bangladesh, Türkiye, Myanmar, Egypt and Switzerland.
