Diego Prado Gómez is a public policy and international development specialist. He has over ten years of experience in humanitarian and development work with private and public organizations in Colombia. His expertise is in livelihoods, public policy, social protection, peacebuilding, and advocacy.
Before the CALP Network, Diego was the Cash Working Group Coordinator in Colombia hosted by Mercy Corps for 2020 – 2022. During his time with the Cash Working Group, he spearheaded various projects including: the design of the Minimum Expenditure Basket for migrants, a Communication with Communities toolbox, and linkages to Social Protection, among other achievements.
He previously also worked with INGO including Plan International, Mercy Corps, and the Pan American Development Foundation (PADF). Additionally, Diego worked with the German Government in the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) in new ways of development throughout sports.
He holds a BA in Political Science and master’s degrees in Public Policy and Development Studies. Diego is native in Spanish, fluent in English, and proficient in French.
