Boureima Lionel OUEDRAOGO

Lionel has been the CVA Focal Point in FAO Burkina since 2013 and Head of FAO Sub-Office in the North Central Region, Co-lead of the Working Group on CVA in Burkina Faso since 2014.
He has a total of 15 years of experience, including 5 years in the Ministry in charge of Agriculture in Burkina Faso and 10 years in FAO Burkina Faso, during which he held various positions as agricultural technician, supervisor of emergency and rehabilitation operations, Head of FAO Sub-Office and in charge of CVA. During his professional career, he has forged several areas of expertise in rural development, food and nutritional security, livelihood protection in the context of climate change, Village Savings and Credit Associations and of course the Cash Transfers for which he is responsible at FAO Burkina. He actively participated in the design and implementation of the “Cash+” and “Resilience Funds” approaches at the FAO in Burkina Faso.
