This week’s highlighted publication
Gender-based violence (GBV) is a pressing concern for forced migrant and refugee women, girls, and individuals with diverse sexual orientation, gender identity and expression or sex characteristics (SOGIESC). They face exposure to and incidents of GBV before, during, and after a humanitarian crisis.
Humanitarian actors use a variety of approaches to prevent, mitigate, and respond to GBV. Yet there are knowledge gaps in shaping comprehensive programs that enhance the lives and protect the rights of GBV survivors and those at risk of GBV.
This learning brief focuses on operational and programmatic learning and the resulting recommendations for advancing CVA-integrated GBV case management in Ocaña, with implications for uptake in other settings in Colombia, as well as across Latin America and the Caribbean.
