REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS: End-line evaluation of the DG ECHO-Funded Action for the Uganda Cash Consortium
About Danish Refugee Council (DRC)
Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is an International non-governmental organization that promotes and supports durable solutions to the problems faced by refugees and internally displaced people all over the world.
Context of Work
In Uganda, DRC assists refugees from neighbouring countries mainly DR Congo and South Sudan in the South West, West and West Nile region of the country. DRC’s assistance to refugees has been both emergency assistance to address the short-term influxes from the neighbouring countries as well as to address the sustainable solutions for the refugees.
The project, which aims to address the immediate basic needs and increase the resilience and protection environment for the most vulnerable refugee households in Kyaka II, Kyangwali and Nakivale refugee settlements, is implemented by the Uganda Cash Consortium (UCC) led by Danish Refugee Council (DRC) in partnership with Lutheran World Federation (LWF), Action Against Hunger (ACF) and Uganda Red Cross Society (URCS). With funding from the European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (ECHO), the project commenced in March 2019 and is scheduled to the end in July 2021. The project is focused on multi-purpose cash transfers (MPCT), where the transfer value is based on the non-food components of the Minimum Expenditure Basket (MEB) established and updated by the Uganda Cash Working Group (CWG)
DRC therefore, invites qualified consultancy firm/individuals to provide an external end-line evaluation of the DG ECHO-Funded Action for the Uganda Cash Consortium.
