Mobile Cash S.A (« MCSA ») was created in 2012 as a subsidiary of the Millicom group, it obtained its EME license from bceao following the decision of February 13, 2014 under the number « EME. SN 005/2013.

Mobile Cash S.A. is therefore authorized to issue and distribute electronic money to a clientele of individuals and companies in all WAEMU countries, and particularly in Senegal

Millicom offers a range of services under the Tigo brand in fourteen markets in Africa (Chad, Senegal, Ghana, Democratic Republic of Congo, Tanzania, Rwanda) and Latin America (Bolivia, Colombia, El Salvador, Guatemala, Paraguay).

In Senegal, Tigo Cash is a service offered by Mobile Cash S.A.
