Documentary – Palabras para Luciana – Delivering people-centered CVA to people on the move in Colombia

This documentary shows the innovative CVA work of ZOA and RedRose with people on the move along the migration trails in Colombia. Innovative technology, human centered design and impact come together in this project that is implemented in a complex displacement setting.

The documentary tells the story of María Helena and her family. Along with her daughter Marvelis, she embarked on a journey on foot from Venezuela to Colombia, hoping to reunite with her husband in Tolima. Along the way, they faced uncertainty and exhaustion, but they were not alone.

Thanks to the collaboration between ZOA, RedRose and local small-scale entrepreneurs, María Helena was able to use various essential services through electronic vouchers in the country, upholding her right to migrate with dignity and ensuring safe passage for her entire family. They are 2 of more than 42,000 migrants who have received multisectoral e-vouchers from ZOA in the last 2 years. The goal of the project is to reduce protection risks migrants in Colombia face so they can transit more safely.
