Adva is a senior programmes officer with CBM Global Disability Inclusion (CBMG). As part of her portfolio she provides inclusive CVA technical support to CBMG’s colleagues and partners to ensure inclusive cash practices. She develops inclusive humanitarian cash based approaches guidance and tools and advocates for evidence based practices that promotes inclusion and protection. She represents CBMG at the GPC’s  Cash for Protection Task Team and the Reference Group on Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities in Humanitarian Action.

Adva has 15 years of experience working on humanitarian and development programmes in the Philippines, Indonesia, Nepal, Nigeria, Ethiopia, Somalia, Malawi, Jordan, Lebanon, Kenya, South Sudan, Uganda, Myanmar, Ukraine, Syria, Turkey, Palestine, India, Georgia, Moldova, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. Prior to working with CBMG, Adva held senior management and advisory roles with Plan, HelpAge International, Leonard Cheshire Disabilities and Caritas.

She is very passionate about the linkage between humanitarian cash engagement and social protection, the gap cost analysis of HHs with disabilities and diversified cash modalities when considering inclusion needs  at country and global levels.
