Lessons Learned and Best Practices for Delivering Cash Assistance at Scale in Famine-like Situations” Hybrid Workshop
In collaboration with Eastern Africa Regional Cash Working Group (RCWG) and key implementing Partners, the ECHO Regional Office and Country Offices (Sudan-Somalia) have organized an open session to present some of the lessons learned and best practices from the ongoing ECHO funded consortia in the region.
The objective of the session is to share learning in order to facilitate the streamlining of ongoing efforts towards better harmonized cash delivery systems, particularly in challenging contexts. This first hybrid workshop will be hosted at ECHO offices in Nairobi at Dunhill Towers on Wednesday 4th December 2024 from 10.00 am to 1.00 pm EAT.
The event will be dedicated to Sudan and Somalia with:
- The Regional CWG and respective Sudan and Somalia CWG Coordinators presenting the current coordination efforts and harmonization initiatives in the region
- The Somali Cash Consortium (SCC) presenting a people-centered and data-driven approach: harmonization of registration, data sharing, and integration of vulnerability-based targeting and multi-sectoral referral pathways.
- The Cash Consortium of Sudan (CCS) presenting the design of common payments architecture to address delivery and financial service provider challenges in hard-to-reach areas.
