Eastern Africa Regional CWG meeting

The meeting will cover the topic of markets – including the impact of ongoing crises, including the HoA drought, the rising global food prices and the impact of the Ukraine crisis on regional markets. In addition we will be seeking to clarify what is going on in terms of market monitoring, what exists in terms of evidence of market functionality, where the gaps are and what can be done to address these gaps. The idea is to explore how market trends are likely to or not influence the effectiveness of CVA modalities and what actions cash actors and cash coordination mechanisms including the Regional CWG can take to mitigate any risks.
