About the Course


This course is structured around the project cycle and covers all of the key skills required to design, implement and monitor cash and voucher assistance. The course is focused on a technical/programmatic perspective, and incorporates examples and case studies from multiple sectors. Therefore, this course is for programme staff responsible for designing, implementing and monitoring cash transfer programmes.

 

Objectives

  • Understand how CVA is guided by key policies, standards and guidelines.
  • Describe how CVA needs to be integrated into role of different teams throughout the project cycle.
  • Explain what assessment information is needed to inform response analysis.
  • Use market information to inform modality choice.
  • Understand how CVA can contribute to response objectives.
  • Identify the information needed for monitoring and evaluation of CVA
  • Identify how collaboration and coordination support quality CVA.

How is the course delivered?
This course will be delivered remotely (online) using a range of methods including videos, e-learning, offline written group tasks, and facilitated interactive online workshops.

How long is the course?
This course will start on 22nd May and will last for 12 weeks. As a learner, you will be expected to spend
approximately 3 hours a week on this course. There are 9 weeks of learning with 3 check-in weeks built-in for you to catch up on course work. It is equivalent to a 5-day face-to-face training in terms of learner time.

The majority of learning is self-directed, meaning that you can watch the videos and complete the e-learnings at any time that suits you, however attendance at the 6 facilitated online workshops is essential in order to complete the course and gain your certificate. The dates and times of these workshops will be confirmed once your registration has been completed and you have been accepted onto the course, however the tentative dates are as follows:

All workshops are on a Tuesday at 1pm to 3pm Amman time.
Workshop 1 – 24th May
Workshop 2 – 7th June
Workshop 3 – 28th June
Workshop 4 – 19th July
Workshop 5 – 2nd August
Workshop 6 – 9th August
