State of the Worlds Cash 2020 : Quality Cash and Voucher Assistance – by Whose Standards?
Following the global launch of the State of the World Cash 2020 report (SOWC2020), the CALP Network is organizing a webinar for practitioners with an interest in CVA in East Africa.

The conversation will focus on quality in CVA, considering what quality programming means to different people, and how we can continue to collectively make progress.
The event is inspired by The State of the World’s Cash 2020 report, which highlights the growing focus on achieving quality in cash and voucher assistance (CVA). The report finds that the need to understand quality in terms of outcomes for recipients is widely accepted, but equally that we’re some way from consistently and effectively achieving this in practice.
This East Africa focused event will provide space for a candid conversation on the systemic barriers to incorporating recipients’ feedback into programme design, and the shifts that need to happen for CVA programmes to be truly recipient centred. This will draw on examples from the region with the aim of providing practical, context specific recommendations.
