Course
Response Analysis
This 3-day course provides classroom-based training, grounded in project experiences and practical exercises,
and is designed to build advanced knowledge and technical expertise in response analysis processes. It builds
on the Basic Needs Assessment (BNA) and Response Options Analysis and Planning (ROAP) process developed
by Save the Children as part of the ECHO ERC-funded grant.
Objectives
By end of course, participants will be able to:
▪ Describe situation analysis
▪ Describe basic needs assessment and vulnerability assessment
▪ Understand how market analysis feeds into situation and response analysis
▪ Assess and compare different modalities and delivery mechanisms to make decisions on the most
appropriate response
▪ Explain how an inter-agency, multi-sectoral situation and response analysis process can be organised
