E-Transfers and operationalizing beneficiary data protection

This two hour course will provide humanitarian practitioners with the necessary steps to operationalize the protection of beneficiary data in programmes using electronic transfers, or e-transfers.

Objectives

The purpose of this course is to assist humanitarian practitioners to take the necessary steps to operationalize the protection of beneficiary data in programmes using electronic transfers, or e-transfers. This shall be done by sharing case studies and experiences from a number of organisations and sector specialists that highlight the risks, challenges and emerging solutions.

The issues explored may also be relevant for practitioners working with personal data in non-cash programmes.

The course is divided into 5 modules as follows:

  • Module 1: Introduction
  • Module 2: Legislation and Trends
  • Module 3: E-transfer overview
  • Module 4: Emerging Solutions
  • Module 5: Ways forward, resources and guidance
