BIEP West and Central Africa

This page has the latest on the Building Individual Expertise Programme (BIEP) in the West and Central Africa region.

This  one year programme gives CVA experts the opportunity to benefit from a range of capacity building activities, including training, job placement and mentoring.

The BIEP aims at going beyond the standard training programme, to offer a more intensive series of capacity building sessions, as well as additional peer-to-peer support, mentoring and placements (when funding permits).

“The BIEP program allowed to bring together participants from different organizations in a spirit of sharing and teamwork which then extends to the field and through the development of joint programmes for the benefit of vulnerable populations. The trainings remain practical for field actors as they were able to directly apply the theories to their contexts.”
Amayel Sow, BIEP cohort 2017-2018

The BIEP was launched in West and Central Africa in 2017 and two cohorts have successfully completed the programme since then, with plans to implement it in the Middle East and North Africa region in 2021.

The 3rd cohort of the program was officially launched on the 27th of October 2020.
